Well, we are a scant 12 months away from a presidential election.  How is that possible?  The last election (disaster)
doesn?t seem that long ago, but G.W. Bush has been our president for three years now.  Has Bush done a good enough
job to get re-elected?  Well, he has had to deal with one of the most heinous attacks on our country in its history during
that time, but he has also alienated a large portion of our country with his policies on Iraq.  The pitiful truth of the
situation is that the answer probably lies more with the candidate the Democrats nominate to oppose Bush in the
election.  The way things look today, none of the weak contenders that have stepped forward could beat Bush.  It
doesn?t seem like the Democrats have a candidate that gets anyone real excited about them.  It appears to be another
election that will come down to a decision of the lesser of two evils.

I was looking at a
comparison of the Democrat candidates and GW on CNN this morning and one of the issues
compared is the stance on energy and our country?s reliance on oil.  It has always seemed logical that it would be in our
best interest to develop a fuel that we could produce ourselves instead of relying on oil, most of which we have to
import.  But I didn?t know anything about hydrogen-fueled cars or electric cars, or even ethanol hybrid engines.  Go to
this website and check out all the available information.  The part I find interesting is that there are some decent
hybrid-fuel car models out there (basically just converted versions of regular gas vehicles), but if you want to find an
electric car you are forced to look at cars that look like crappy toy versions of what people in the 70s thought the future
would be like.  Why aren?t there any electric Ferrari?s?

Speaking of Ferrari?s, what good does it do you to have a car that can go 200 mph?  I appreciate the ability to
accelerate when needed, but at some point aren?t their diminishing returns?  Why doesn?t someone just take the engine
of a Mustang (which has all the acceleration and speed that anyone could ever actually need) and put it in a prettier
package?  If you had a Ferrari you wouldn?t want to drive it around that fast anyway because then no one would ever
see you in your $200,000 Ferrari.

So, I read this morning that
David Gest is suing Liza Minelli for $10 million for abuse while they were married.  What I
want to know is when the public is going to start a class action suit and sue those two for the abuse that we all suffered
when the television stations kept showing that disgustingly creepy kiss that Gest and Minelli shared at their wedding.
You know the one, where he almost swallowed her chin?

I was going to make some sort of joke about Roy Horn getting chomped on by his pet tiger, but Jeff Kay has already
made all the good jokes.  Instead, I?ll just mention that right now Roy?s skull has been removed and placed in his
stomach for safe keeping.  I shit you not ?
check it out.  My question is: who first thought of doing that?  Did everyone
think they were totally insane (or smoking pot)?

Here is the craziest thing I?ve seen on ebay in a while.

                                                                                         *

A couple of weeks ago I went to the Missouri vs. Nebraska football game in Columbia, Missouri.  It was a wonderful
time for all Missouri fans as the Tigers defeated Nebraska for the first time in 24 years.  However, during the fourth
quarter, when it was apparent that Missouri would win, the fans started chanting ?Overrated? at Nebraska (who was
ranked #7 at the time).  This is something I?ve never really understood.  If you claim the team you are beating is
overrated, then aren?t you diminishing your team?s accomplishment?  Doesn?t Missouri want credit for beating the #7
team in the nation?  By saying that Nebraska is overrated, aren?t the fans really saying that ?yes we beat you, but you
aren?t as good as everyone has said, so beating you isn?t really that big of a deal.?
