Mitchell's Multi-Monthly Meanderings

Mitchell?s Multi-Monthly Meanderings Presents:

The Top Ten TV Shows of All Time!

Criteria?  My own personal preference.  Reason?  I haven?t written an article in a while.  Why should you
care?  ?Cause I told you to!

1.
The Simpsons
No big surprise here.  Homer and family have been making my generation laugh for years.  15 years!
According to a
recent report The Simpsons are back.  I disagree, anyone who complained about the last
few seasons was simply expecting too much.  The Simpsons don?t owe you anything.  They?ve given you
years and years of free entertainment.

2.
Futurama
A major upset here!  I went over this list 10 times to make sure it was right.  Upon further review, I
absolutely adore this show!  Less than 100 episodes of what essentially was a Simpsons spinoff turned into
wonderful, obscure television bliss.  The professor and Dr. Zoidberg are absolute numbsculls.  Leela is kind,
sincere and Peg Bundy.  Fry is the epitome of the 20th century ugly American.  That leaves us with the
second greatest comedic character in the history of fiction.  Flexo!   I mean, Bender.

3.  The Screen Savers
Another huge upset.  Three months ago, I?d have told you I was quitting this show.  Morgan Webb had just
been ?promoted? to host of X-Play, Megan Morrone just quit, the world was falling apart!  I have to admit,
though, that Sarah Lane & Jessi Corbin are doing a superlative job!  Part of me wanted to see them fail, but
they?ve come through with flying colors.  The show is better than ever, Pat and Leo are so loveable and
their interaction with us fans is great.  In fact
leovilletownsquare.com might be the best place on all of the
internet!  [Ed Note: Of course what Mitchell meant was the best place outside of Sex Stone on all of the
internet.]

4.
Family Guy
This one I thought would be higher.  Seth MacFarlane is the funniest man on the planet, plus you have Jackie
from That ?70?s Show, Dreamboat Seth Green, guest spots by Norm Macdonald, Adam Carolla and the
rest.  The show goes over the top, perhaps too far, even for me.  Still highly ranked at #4.

5.
X-Play
Two words: I Missed Out on Morgan

6.
Spongebob Squarepants
I thought this was a kids show.  Luckily Metten turned me on to it.  Oh, sure, there?s jokes for the seven
year olds, but like any good cartoon, there?s jokes for us adults too.  Spongebob is the perfect good, the
lone innocent in a world gone cynical.

7.
Mr. Show with Bob and David
Taken by themselves, David Cross & Bob Odenkirk are boisterous, pretentious, blasphemous, loudmouth,
leftwing, left coast jerkoffs that ought to shut their mouths if they know what?s good for them!  Put them
together and there even more so!  It was great!!!  Mr. Show didn?t break the rules, it chewed them up and
shat them out, just not on the flag!  Plus they brought us Jack Black and that?s very good.

8.
Beavis and Butthead
One day, in 11th grade, I almost got kicked out of American History and suspended from school for rolling
on the floor in laughter.  My friend Chandler turned to me and said, ?Uh, Burritos??  and I lost it.  Luckily
the teacher was our offensive line coach, Mr. Long and I was needed for that nights game.

9.
The Kids in the Hall
Just to put things in perspective, this show started the same year as The Simpsons, yet, all of the Kids are
already washed up has beens.  No matter, KITH took sketch comedy to the next level, and it is still, the
most original, bizarre, and avant garde sketch show out there.  With that said, the show was simply fucking
funny.  The Citizen Kane sketch makes me laugh almost weekly, and I haven?t watched it in over a year.

10.
All-That
Its like SNL, for kids, but better.  The Home of The Good Burger spawned such careers as Keenan
Thompson, Kel Mitchell and Amanda Bynes.  Word!  Plus the theme song was by TLC and it was
awesome.  ?So sit?chyo booty on the floor or in a chair, ground or in the air, just don?t go no??..WHERE!?
